It is What it is!

Credits: musingswhileunlearning.com Acceptance, that all is as it should be, while diligently staying the course and following your inner guidance is the recipe for eternal happiness and well-being. Sometimes, it is as simple as that. It is what it is. In fact, it has always been like that but when circumstances are in our favour, who cares. No one wants to hear it when things are not too great either. We want what we want and when we want it. We are ready to put in the work. In fact, we have put in a lot of work so when we do not see results the way we expect them, we get frustrated. Worse, if someone less worthy (in our eyes) gets a lot of success, with what we see as mediocre work, we go through phases of anger and self-pity, anxiety and depression depending on many factors. But, it is what it is! It does not matter whether you disagree; whether you clench your fists and scream "unfair"- it is what it is! So, what now? Do we give up? No. We just accept things as they are....

Hurt People: Harsh Truths!

First and foremost, let us get one basic fact clear. We are all hurt! Whether we acknowledge it or not, whether we recognize it or not, if we have lived beyond five years of our life, we are hurt in some way or another. Even the best of us, who are quick to defend our families and our upbringing only choosing to remember the good times (either deliberately or subconsciously believing so), have wounds which start playing out when we grow up and enter relationships. Secondly, there is no judgement here. In fact, even though I may express strong opinions on my blog, I believe in learning continuously and evolving and my opinions do change over a period of time. We are all human and as long as we stay flexible and open to new ideas, we grow. We may or m...

One Crime, One Punishment

The Indian Penal Code definitely talks about it and it probably holds good in many other countries as well, if I am not wrong. It makes sense to penalize a person once for a single crime they commit. You cannot keep punishing a person over and over again for that one mistake they made. If the offence is severe, the punishment is severe; if there are multiple crimes then there are multiple punishments. So, the legal system is all in place with their laws to serve us justice. We want nothing less. Do keep this thought with you even though what is coming just after this bears no link with it! Every human being is working towards expansion, in whatever limited way they can. Everyone dreams big whether or not they have the grit to make it a reality. The ones who are actually toiling want to make huge success, even if they say they are just going with the flow. They dream of luxuries, of fame and fortune, of arm candy- the list is endless and the dreams may vary. Film stars, political lead...
